A conversation about your intended budget gives us a better understanding foor the direction we will goo with material selections. We take time to carefully evaluate your future home design to assure that form follows function. We believe that a functional space for you and your family is at the core of every good design. Once the design is confirmed, ink and paper seal the deal with our design contract.

This is where creativity and inspired elements oof your home are born. Our design discovery meetings are a critical part to our process. We dive deeper into the specifics of what you are looking for too ensure the best possible outcome for your home. 

It's a chance for you as the client to collaborate with our talented team. This is the step where all of your dreams,  inspirations, and home aesthetic goals come out of your head and onto paper. We begin by putting together a design guide to perfectly showcase unique designs that will make your home one-of-a-kind. Sketches, 3D renderings, room layouts, and home features are shared with you so that you can have a greater visual understanding of your new home.

After we thoroughly discussed your style and taste, we begin pulling together different selections. During the beginning phase, we will review products in our showroom and visit local suppliers. It is essential to be able to interact with products so that you are able t omake an informed decision on which one fits your needs the best. 

With our full design service, we thoughtfully select home furnishings and decor. We value your opinion and preferences, so all selections go through an approval-based process before they are ordered. We keep track of your selections digitally and personally to ensure that we understand your preferences. A design guide is formulated with materials, fixtures, and selections, then sent to you to reference throughout the process.

As a company we value the importance oof clear and concise communication. We do not want any misunderstandings to disrupt the process of your home design. It is our goal to be transparent with you as we review your finances for the project.

Before we proceed, we get your approval. We want you to be satisfied and confident with the overall plan, design, and materials. Our customers experience clear communicatioon through the client portal of our design/build software.

Approvals and Ordering

During this phase of the project, we work to build, install, and deliver the design as promised. We can collaborate with your preferred builder, or guide you towards a builder that we believe would be an appropriate fit. 

Construction is an exciting time where your design is brought to life. We work hand-in-hand with trade partners to execute our design. Minor adjustments are made at the end of the project such as touch-ups, paint corrections, and cabinetry fine-tuning. Our desire is to keep you informed throughout the entire project so that you feel confident every step of the way.

Move in day never comes soon enough. But, when you design with Fifth & River we promise to be as efficient as we can to ensure that you can be in your new home in a timeline that works for you. We ensure that the finished product meets your expectations.

Just because your project is completed, doesn't mean that we disappear. We want to provide you with ongoing support and build a lasting relationship. As part of the design service, we offer furniture and decor services to finalize your design. This convenience is perfect if your looking for a move-in-ready home, or simply need help making those tough furnishing selectionos.
