Our Cabinetry Process

Let's get started

Consultation Meeting

Schedule a complimentary consultation with our design team at our local showroom in West Michigan. Before you arrive we ask that you fill out our “Design Inquiry” form on our website. Upon meeting our first step is to review your architectural plans, measurements, and photos to discuss the scope of your project. This is a good time to show us your inspiration photos as well as discuss the type of workflow, workspace, and appliances that fit your needs. After this initial meeting we will begin drawing cabinetry for your space and discussing the budget for your project.

Design Process

To begin the cabinetry design phase, we discuss layout, functionality, style, and storage needs. From there we will take exact measurements of your existing space, or work with your architectural plans. Our design software efficiently displays cabinetry layouts, elevations, and interior renderings. We thoughtfully consider appliance placement and identify any necessary architectural changes. When we meet at our showroom, you will be able to visualize your new space as well as understand the logic behind our design suggestions. Following final decisions, we will prepare a detailed quote for your new cabinetry. Details such as door/drawer style, accessories, molding, hardware, and finish details will be included.

Order Sign-Off and Production

To ensure that every aspect of your custom cabinetry project is accurate and meets your expectations, Fifth & River takes extra care during the final preparation process. As a team we double check measurements on-site, review the construction drawings, and confirm all necessary storage accessories and attachments. This meticulous review helps avoid any mistakes or oversights, and brings peace of mind once the order is placed.

Delivery

Custom cabinetry truly makes a space feel unique and tailored to your specific needs. Every detail will be crafted to fit your exact specifications and design preferences. Once the order is in production, Fifth & River will share the arrival date with you so that you can keep your project on track.
